This Page is added on 1st October 2017/11 Muharram 1439 in order to create awareness about the introduction of this new subject in the UAE from the academic year 2017-18 onward.

Moral Education is an innovative, engaging curriculum designed to develop young people of all nationalities and ages in the UAE with universal principles and values, that reflect the shared experiences of humanity.

This is a national initiative announced in 2016 by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Moral Education

* Objectives of Moral Education

The ultimate outcome of Moral Education is to create a generation of citizens who:

Build Character

Build character traits that include resilience, perseverance, work ethic, critical thinking and discipline Prepare students with the skills they need for adult life. Skills include financial literacy, awareness of addiction, mental and physical well-being and digital literacy

Instill Ethical Outlook

Teach students the practical and ethical values that are represented in the ethos of the course, which includes tolerance, honesty, dignity, respect, and humility

Foster Community

Encourage and enable students to become engaged members of their community

Endear Culture

Teach students about culture, both of the UAE and of the wider world, and enable
them to value the wealth of culture available across the world

* The Four Pillars 

The Moral Education program covers four pillars –  character and morality; the individual and the community; civic studies; and cultural studies and blends academic content with an exploration of character and ethics. It has been designed as a progressive series of units to be taught over twelve years of schooling from Grade 1 to Grade 12. (In the initial year 2017-18, it will be taught up to Grade 9)

    Sir i am teaching Moral Education in Private school in English Language. I want to ask is there any web site from where we will get Resources like PPTs, worksheets and Notes related to Moral Education Lessons in Books. Like in Islamic Studies you provide o lot of materials that is really very helpful.
    Or any Teachers Group which is sharing their works with others. please guide me.

      I am not sure about the websites for Moral Education as a subject. There may be some teachers group…If i get confirmed info, i will contact you through your email id.
