Saturday is 10th Muharram in UAE

Please be reminded that today (Thursday) is 8th of Muharram and Aashoora falls on Saturday (24th October 2015) in UAE, Saudi Arabia and in many other parts of the world.

As per authentic Islamic traditions we are encouraged to fast either on the 9th and 10th of Muharram OR on the 10th and 11th.

This clarification is given here as there is confusion created by the already published calendars by some Muslim governments which erroneously say that today (Thursday) is 9th of Muharram which is NOT the case. For proof and references, continue reading at my Qur’an Blog InshaaAllah.
