UPDATE As per the official announcement made by the Moon Sighting Saudi Arabian Judiciary – and the Hajj authorities’ announcement is adopted in many places – the blessed month of Dhul Hijjah starts on 15 Sept. Accordingly, the Day of Hajj (that is, Arafah Day) will fall on 23rd September and the first day of Eid al Adhaa will be celebrated on Thursday, the 24th Sept. 2015.  Let’s proclaim the takbeer…. ‘Aa’ishah (radiyallaahu anha) said:

“When the last ten days (of Ramadan) would come, the Prophet (sal-lal-laahu `alaihi wa sallam) would spend his nights in worship, wake his family (at night), exert himself and tighten his Izaar (waist-cloth).”
