Award-Winning Blog, MaShaaAllah

Subhanallaah, it was a bolt from the blue for me when one fine day our Vice-Principal, Mr. Arshad, said “Mabrook Mr. Muqith, we are going to award you in appreciation of your blog”.

So the Award was presented on 29th September 2016 at the American University of Sharjah during the IGCSE Felicitation Programme.

The Award included a Memento and a cash prize of 3000 Dirhams.

Alhamdulillaah for everything.

I started my blog in 2009 just to share some notes with those students of mine who were then new to the subject. They had come from Australia and New Zealand and knew nothing about Islam!

The Blog then slowly and steadily started gaining momentum and acceptance not only from other students but also from teachers.

And When I introduced the Page on Qur’an Classes and Islamic Learning Centres in the UAE, the Blog got more acclaim as it was introduced to the wider UAE readership.

I am humbled and I thank Allah subhanahu wa Ta’aala for extracting some work from me, that would benefit others. I also make du’aa to Allah that Award and Appreciation should not dilute or dampen the spirit of lil-laah – blogging for His cause, to please Him.

I express my sincere thanks to the Management, the Admin. Officer, Principal, Vice-Principal, Supervisors, Parents, Students and Teachers of Al Amana Private School, Sharjah for presenting me with this Award.

I am indebted and grateful to my wife, Ms. Faridha Jahan,  for supporting me in my endeavour. She sacrifices many a weekend, at times, as I need to sit continuously to work on the blog.

I also thank all those teachers who visit this blog often and keep inspiring me with their comments and good wishes.

l am grateful to all my blog readers for their kind support, and I share this Award with you all 🙂
